Montemaggiore's library contains older vintages no longer in circulation, thus are unlikely to be found in wine shops or restaurants. At the winery, we store limited amounts of these age-worthy wines under ideal conditions, intended for Wine Club members and special occasions. The Syrahs may be purchased as part of the "Syrah Vertical". for other purchase availability.

An powerful, elegant, yet intriguing wine. Black fruit aromas lead into layers of complexity on the palate. The supple tannins are due to a long growing season.

Six barrels from the top of Paolo's Vineyard were selected for our special Hilltop Reserve. The soils from the hilltop are the rockiest, the grapes are the most flavorful, and the wine is the most intense. Only 150 cases produced.

Although low-yielding, 2004 was an exceptional vintage for quality. While our flagship Syrah shows the hallmarks of prior vintages (black fruit, solid structure, smooth finish), this wine is especially structured and intense.

black cherry aroma of the 2004 Superiore is underpinned by dark
chocolate and floral tea accents.
